Canto Nova Pinot Grigio

This is a great example of why the Italians do a great Pinot Grigio, and it's half price so you just have to get it. A light to medium bodied dry Pinot, it's crisp acidity balancing perfectly with soft fruit on the palate. A perfect aperitif.
McGuigan Black Label Reserve Shiraz

This is the reserve selection from the black label range and you can tell straight away it's a little bit special. A nice discount of €5 makes this well worth it. This wine has wonderful complexity, with vibrant red berry aromas, accented by a hint of toasty oak. Gentle ageing complements the fruit flavours adding subtle spice and great length.
Yellow Tail Chardonnay

Country: Australia
A really popular wine from down under and the Chardonnay is a great place to start if you haven't tried any of the range yet. This one has melons, white peach and hint of nutty complexity drive a soft textured palate but in the end it's just a wonderful drink. Excellent with roast chicken.
Luis Felipe Edwards Cabernet Sauvignon

A real bargain at just €8, this is such a great wine I would have no problem paying full price. I would gladly drink this on it's own but it will go well with a lot dishes and a good compliment to the Sunday roast. The wine has good colour, with red berry fruits and some smoky notes. Followed by a great lingering finish. 
Jacobs Creek Pinot Grigio

A very famous label and another great wine from Australia, this is a great Pinot Grigio. It also arrives in at my perfect price point of €10. This wine has appealing aromas of honeysuckle and quince with a subtle citrus background. Light to medium bodied on the palate, it shows flavours of pear and red apple. Just delicious!
Turner Road Reserve Merlot

Country: USA
This is a fantastic offer from Tesco, a real quality wine for only €8.50, you have to try this over the long weekend. This Merlot has vibrant, jammy aromas of plums and red cherries and a soft, lingering finish. Ripe fruit flavours compleminted by just a hint of sweet, toasty oak make it the perfect match for grilled steak and barbecued chicken. 
Brancott Estate Sauvignon Blanc

An easy choice for me, when I see this on special offer, i just have to get it. Bold, ripe aromas of fresh cut grass and passion fruit. A dry, fresh, fruit driven wine with intense flavours. This wine can easily be drunk on it's own, with a light meal or some seafood. Always great to have in the cellar.
